Wales maintained their unbeaten record and in so doing booked their spot at the 2023 Netball World Cup as the Europe qualifiers continued in Glasgow.
Wales beat Northern Ireland 60-34, a day after Scotland had also seen off Northern Ireland. Wales needed to win to ensure safe passage into next year’s World Cup. Wales and Scotland met on Sunday’s final day but it’s a “dead rubber” as both countries have booked their places at the Cape Town event next year.
Scotland’s form continued as they hammered Gibraltar 91-18. The other match on Saturday was the match of the tournament, with Isle of Man taking down Republic of Ireland by just one goal, 54-53.
