There were eight matches in the Telkom Netball League Power Week in Polokwane, which ended on Monday, 1st May.

On Sunday, the Mpumalanga Sunbirds recovered from a first-quarter defeat to beat the Kingdom Queens 49-34, while there were wins too for the Stars (bt Crinums 48-29), Fireballs (bt Aloes 62-43), Diamonds (bt Comets 41-38), Tornadoes (bt Lillies 52-27) and Januars (bt Flames 47-29).

On Monday the Boababs beat the Queens 65-37 and the Sunbirds beat the Lillies 61-25..

The official Vitality Netball World Cup mascot, Letsatsi, was at the tournament and proved to be hugely popular with the crowd and the players.

All roads will now lead back to Pretoria for the remainder of the league, and action will resume 2 June.
