Just prior to the millennium, Gilbert decided to expand from its historic background in rugby into the game of netball. Soon, Gilbert were supplying both kit and netballs to a host of clubs and nations.
In 2005, Gilbert adapted its unique ball technology to create the Synergie Match Ball and was chosen by the International Netball Federation now World Netball) to be its official ball in World Competitions. Today Gilbert still holds this position and the Quantum netball is the official ball of the Netball World Cup 2023.
Gilbert also sponsor a number of International Netball Teams around the globe, supply clothing, equipment and netballs.
